Rob Fox

Robert Fox, Chief Executive Officer
B.Sc., MBA (Major in Health Administration), CHE  

Robert Fox joined OntarioMD (OMD) as CEO in January 2022. Rob is an innovative health care executive with 25 years of experience leading large teams, defining health policy and enhancing the health care system. Rob has held senior positions at both TELUS Health and Cisco Systems, responsible for digital transformation of health care delivery across Canada to improve patient outcomes and experiences through technology. 

Dennis Ferenc

Dennis Ferenc, Chief Administrative Officer
B.A. (Hons), M.A.    

Dennis has been with OntarioMD (OMD) since 2010 and has held the position of Chief Administrative Officer since 2015. Dennis is committed to ensuring accurate financial planning and reporting and in improving business processes for an effective and efficient organization. Before coming to OMD, Dennis had over 30 years of experience working in the Ontario Public Service in a number of different capacities including community development, program and change management, human resources, and information technology. 

Chandi Chandrasen

Chandi Chandrasena, Chief Medical Officer
MD, CCFP, FCFP   

Dr. Chandrasena joined OntarioMD (OMD) as its Chief Medical Officer (CMO) in 2021. She is a family physician practicing in Ottawa for almost 20 years and a former OMD Physician Peer Leader who has mentored many of her colleagues to use EMRs and digital health tools effectively to enhance patient care. As CMO, she provides clinical advice at provincial and national tables and clinician advisory groups and is instrumental in forging system-level partnerships.

Ariane Siegel

Ariane Siegel, General Counsel & Chief Privacy Officer
B.A., LL.B, LL.M, Law Society of Ontario 

Ariane joined OntarioMD as General Counsel and Chief Privacy Officer in 2016. She has been recognized internationally for her achievements in privacy and security. She was recently awarded the 2023 Women in IT Award for Canada’s Security Leader of the Year. She has also been recognized by Who’s Who as a global leader in technology law, privacy and data protection. Ariane provides OntarioMD with strategic and legal advice. Her current focus is on technology and legal issues with respect to use of Artificial Intelligence in Primary Care. Through her leadership, OntarioMD provides health system partners with a practical perspective on privacy and security from the lens of community-based physician practices. Ariane developed OntarioMD’s Privacy & Security Training Module for the Ontario health-care sector and a second Module focused on virtual care. 

Prior to joining OntarioMD, Ariane supported global corporations with technology law advice as a Partner in Canada’s largest law firm and from her own practice. She worked as a Senior Investigator for the federal Privacy Commissioner, Law Clerk to the Chief Justice of the Ontario Court of Justice and as Constitutional Counsel to the Attorney General of Ontario. Ariane was part of the launch team for Richard Branson’s Virgin Mobile Canada.

Chris Sulway

Christopher Sulway, Chief of Strategy, Growth & Stakeholder Relations

Christopher joined OntarioMD (OMD) in October 2022. Chris is recognized as a strong leader, strategist, and communicator. He was most recently a Special Advisor to the Office of the Deputy Premier and Minister of Health, and served the Honourable Sylvia Jones and the Honourable Christine Elliott. Christopher was responsible for the provincial Digital First for Health Strategy. Chris has over 20 years of clinical and management experience. Before working with the Ontario Ministry of Health, Chris spent eight years with the Toronto Central Local Health Integration Network (LHIN) where he was the Vice President, Quality, Performance & Accountability. Chris is a licensed physiotherapist in Ontario and has worked in management and as a clinician in Ontario hospitals and in a rehabilitation institute in Kuwait. He is a Certified Health Executive and member of the Canadian College of Health Leaders. Chris is also a lecturer for the Department of Physical Therapy, Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto.

Andrew King

Andrew King, Chief Technology Officer

Andrew leads OntarioMD’s (OMD) development, architecture, integration and IT operations teams. He has overall responsibility for the development, maintenance and support of both internal and external products and services, including our award winning HRM® service. Andrew advances provincial EMR to EHR integration and maturity priorities through strong partnerships with digital health stakeholders and OMD’s nationally recognized OMD Certification Program. Andrew has over 30 years of IT service design and delivery experience. Over 20 years have been dedicated to provincial health care, driving EHR and EMR enabling technologies, solutions and service. Andrew is a passionate advocate for advancing clinical and practice outcomes through health care IT.

Cynthia MacWilliam

Cynthia MacWilliam, Executive Director Client Services & Engagement
B.Sc. MBA specialization Health Services Management, Prosci Certified Change Practitioner   

Cynthia has been Executive Director, Client Services and Engagement of OntarioMD (OMD) since 2017. In this capacity, Cynthia leads OMD’s field team members and OMD Peer Leaders in their ongoing and varied supports to community-based physician practices. She has over 25 years of experience working in health care and with physicians specifically on how to maximize use of digital health tools within their practice for the collective benefit of provider and patient.

Simon Ling

Simon Ling, Executive Director, Partnerships and Stakeholders
B.Sc.     

In 2023, Simon took on the role of overseeing OntarioMD's partnership strategy as executive director. His primary responsibilities include nurturing partnerships and establishing strategic alliances to facilitate organizational growth and address intricate challenges within the digital healthcare sector. Previously, Simon led the project management office and oversaw OntarioMD's range of digital health solutions for clinicians. Simon has over 30 years of experience delivering enterprise information technology services and solutions, with a strong focus on health care for the past 17 years, during which he led various provincial digital health initiatives.

Matt Leduc

Matt Leduc, Executive Director, Products, Integrations & Service Management
B.A., CPHIMS-CA, PMP  

Matthew has been a Director at OntarioMD (OMD) since 2017. Through leadership roles in both the Products & Services and Integrations domains, Matthew has led the establishment and widespread adoption of key provincial services such as HRM®, as well as critical integration programs to ensure clinicians have access to the right digital health tools through their EMRs to deliver the best possible health care. Matthew has worked in health care for over 20 years – starting in a patient-facing position at a busy trauma centre – and in digital health for the past 16 years.

Aidan Lee

Aidan Lee, Director EMR Certification Program
BComm    

Aidan has been Director, OntarioMD (OMD) EMR Certification Program since 2015. Under Aidan’s leadership, he has the overall responsibility in developing, managing, and maintaining the Certification program through its core components in EMR Specifications, EMR Validation/Certification, and Vendor Management. Aidan is experienced in the digital health community since 2000, holding progressive positions from software developer to director data services in the support of data exchange in EMRs, which include EMR data migration and integration.

Jim Brown

Jim Brown, Director Client Engagement
B.A. (Hons)    

Jim has been the Director of Client Engagement at OntarioMD (OMD) since 2018. He manages the activities of three Regional Teams who work with clinicians across Ontario. He has more than 35 years of experience working with physician practices through medical laboratories, system consulting and digital tools. He has worked in the areas of operations, information technology, project management, finance, quality improvement & automation, client engagement and digital tools adoption/use in both Canada and the United States.

Cindy Khimji

Cindy Khimji, Director Human Resources

Cindy has been Director, Human Resources at OntarioMD (OMD) since 2015. Cindy is responsible for leading the HR function including day-to-day operations, strategic workforce planning, organizational development, compensation, training, recruitment, benefits, and pension. She creates innovative ways to engage all employees and establishing the culture, developing leaders and empowering employees. As an established HR professional, she has over 15 years of experience in the health care industry.

Paul Roscoe

Paul Roscoe, Director Business Development

Paul joined OntarioMD (OMD) in late 2020 as the Director of Business Development, responsible for building strategic partnerships and new business lines for the organization. Paul has over 20 years of experience leading business development activities for organizations in the hi-tech, telecommunications and physical security industries.

Kathy Todor

Katherine Tudor, Director Communications & Marketing
B.A. (Hons), Prosci Certified Change Practitioner    

Kathy has led communications and marketing at OntarioMD (OMD) since 2013. She leads a team that develops impactful communications and events for clinicians and practice staff. Kathy has more than 20 years of communications experience in financial services and health care. She has held progressively senior roles leading communications and marketing for Ontario’s first EMR adoption program, the ePhysician Project, various Ministry of Health digital health initiatives in community care, public health and acute care and at eHealth Ontario. She also led internal and external communications and change management activities for other provincial ministries.  

Shamsa Jiwani

Shamsa Jiwani, Director, Information and Customer Experience
BBA, MBA, MHI 

Shamsa Jiwani has led information management at OntarioMD since 2015. With over 15 years of experience in the health informatics landscape in progressive positions, from business systems analysis to change management, Shamsa is responsible for day-to-day operations related to client intake, onboarding, deployment, and data quality best practices. She works with stakeholders in the province to advance primary care adoption and connectivity to digital health offerings. Shamsa has managed multiple business process enhancement and policy initiatives in Ontario's rollout of priority services. Previously, Shamsa worked with the National Health Services (NHS)- UK to transform electronic health records.
